New Scientist Group Information

The New Scientist discussion group meets monthly, at a location specified per event. We usually meet the second Thursday of the month at 4pm. Please join us if you enjoy lively discussions of current topics in science, and science in society, while enjoying your favorite beverages in Ashland.

The focus of our conversation begins with the latest news from New Scientist magazine. However, other science sources are welcome conversation starters! For a taste of New Scientist, please visit their website,

We are always looking for a venue that has a private room or quiet corner so we can converse in a quiet atmosphere. Food and drink options are a plus. If you have an idea for a venue, please contact Richard LeVitt or attend one of our meetings to share your suggestion.
