In this readable book—based on his Harvard course—Michael Sandel walks readers through philosophical analyses of various contemporary ethical issues.

He shows how Utilitarians, Libertarians, Kant, Rawls, and Aristotle look at issues in different ways, including objections they make to each other's views. He ultimately arrives at his own preferred framework, and urges us to continue the discussion amongst ourselves. [sc]
