Play Synopsis: As Hitler invades Poland, Freud meets British Christian writer and Oxford Professor C.S. Lewis in London for “Freud’s Last Session.” In witty and humorous dialogue reminiscent of “My Dinner With Andre,” two great minds of the 20th Century debate sex, mortality, religion, evil, humor, music, the Existence of God and why God allows suffering. Lewis is compelled to confess his doubts about his faith as he analyzes Freud and his beliefs. And Freud, dying of cancer, confronts thoughts of suicide and examines his own family history.
